The table design superimposes three gridded systems – a point grid, a line grid, and a three-dimensional matrix. Separately, each system is run though a series of operations. For example, the point grid experiments with rotation and expansion while the line grid explores fracture and erasure. Once each system has successfully generated and completed its isolated, homogeneous process it is then combined with the other completed grids to create a heterogenous three-dimensional composition. Such a formulation allows the design to be read paradoxically. It is constructed from erased solids, disconnected boundaries, and missing points clipped by an organic frame.
